On most of our programs, the cruise from Aswan to Luxor takes 4 days and 3 nights and costs less, while the cruise from Luxor to Aswan takes 5 days and 4 nights. Both cover Luxor's temples and tombs, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan. Choose by how many days you have and which city you arrive in.

On the 3-night cruise from Aswan and the 4-night cruise from Luxor, Abu Simbel is an optional excursion at an extra charge, covering the ticket, guide and vehicle. If you are staying in Aswan, you can also take our private Abu Simbel day trip.

Yes. On our guided day tours the car and the Egyptologist guide are for your group alone. Because they cost the same for two people or eight, the per-person price falls as your group grows. The balloon flight is in a shared basket unless you ask for a private VIP basket.

October to April, when the days are cooler for walking around temples and tombs. Nile cruises cost less from May to September, but the midday heat is strong, so tours start early.

Yes. All prices are per person in US dollars. They depend on your group size and travel dates, and Christmas and New Year dates (20 December to 4 January) cost more on most trips. Each trip page shows the full price table.

Tips and personal expenses are not included on any trip. Lunch is not included on the Abu Simbel day trip, extra tomb tickets such as Tutankhamun's are not part of the West Bank tour, and domestic flights are not included with the ship programs.

Yes. Most of our day tours pick you up from your hotel or your cruise ship in Luxor or Aswan and bring you back there at the end. Send us the name of your hotel or ship when you book.

A dahabiya is a traditional Nile sailing boat, much smaller than a cruise ship. Ours are 5-star, full board, and moor at quieter places such as Esna and Gebel el-Silsila. Departures run every day.
