Aswan Day Tours: Temples, Feluccas and Abu Simbel
Aswan moves more slowly than Luxor, and its best moments are on the water: a felucca under sail, a motorboat to a Nubian village, Philae Temple on its island. From Aswan we also run the early desert drive to Abu Simbel and day trips north to Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor.
How does the day trip from Aswan to Abu Simbel work?
Pickup is at 4:00 AM from your Aswan hotel or cruise ship, the desert drive takes about three and a half hours, and you reach the Great Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Nefertari by 7:30 AM. You are back in Aswan by early afternoon. The tour is private, with an Egyptologist guide, entrance fees and water included; lunch is not. The price depends on your group size and travel dates.
